This is the first series of photographs that I took over a period of two years at the Banff Centre from 2004 - 2005. I originally wanted to do an on-going performance of myself wearing white t-shirts with beaded text of stereotypes that I have experienced over the years. My intent was to inform people of my mixed heritage and confront stereotyping that I have faced throughout the years. I met several people at the Banff Centre who faced similar issues as myself so I decided to photograph them and create a new community that acknowledges our unique backgrounds.
