In the early 1970’s the chicken industry experimented on the island of Puerto Rico by feeding my ancestors chicken feed that was laced with high doses of estrogen. Unfortunately the offspring of the population… eight out of one thousand girls as a matter of fact in Puerto Rico experienced accelerated sexual maturation from the age of six months. Indeed some girls as young as four years showed full breast development and menstruation due to the extraordinary high estrogen levels used to make us grow faster in order to feed the industry in high volume. The reasons to make us chickens heftier: fatter wings, fatter drumsticks, fatter breasts. And thus became the day of McChicken.
